A teenager in China has sold one of his kidneys in order to buy an iPad 2, Chinese media report.
The 17-year-old, identified only as Little Zheng, told a local TV station he had arranged the sale of the kidney over the internet.
The story only came to light after the teenager's mother became suspicious.

I bought an iPad2 last week and it's an awesome device, but worth a kidney...?
Perhaps if he had a way to make huge amounts of money off the iPad I'd
understand, but just to play with it, sheesh.
BTW is this Apple's fault?
The Croatian article I which I read first did in fact word it something like this:
"...by creating an artificial need for its products, Apple has caused..."
