  • What have you been drinking?

Lately I've been on a Kvass kick. It's an old Russian nonalcoholic drink made out malt, honey, herbs, and various plant roots. It's kind of like a malty less sugary American root beer. I like it because it is bubbly like soda but without all the sugar; sure I could drink diet soda but I was looking for something different.

So what have you been drinking lately?

    Shiner Bock beer.

I checked out the website for the Isle of Jura and apparently they're trying to get people to move to the island since the population has fallen to just 200 people. To encourage people to move there the distillery is offering everyone who lives on the island on free dram of whiskey per month; they're call it in the Diurachs due (people who live on Jura are called Diurachs).

Found Red Seal Ale on tap at a club I went to Friday night. Excellent; had 4 (one per band that played).

Tonight is Blackthorn English hard cider. A bit on the girlie side but refreshing. Now, if I could only figure out how to make my girlfriend stop stealing it all from me.
