Seasons 5, 6, and 7 could be ridiculously slow without much plot resolution causing viewership to slowly abandon the show.

That and think of all the new characters they'll be introducing in Season 5. Though maybe they can push back the introduction of Dorne or the Iron Islands plotline to Season 6.
I suspect that a lot of AFfC and ADwD will just go away. In particular, I'm guessing that Dany's storyline will be sped up quite a bit and things like the internal events with the Maesters and some running about up north will be compressed or eliminated. The showrunners have demonstrated pretty good instincts on what to cut from the books (though, what they replace it with is a bit more suspect...)

I'm still pissed off at how they axed Rome a full year early.

Officially picked up for Season 3.

You would think season 4 is inevitable, since it's going to take 2 seasons to cover A Storm of Swords.

    ACK!

Yes, but they're also always saying that everyone knows Melisandra is his real queen in deed.

And while not explicitly stated, just about everyone in the story accepts/assumes that Stannis and Melisandre are ****ing on the regular. After all,

    Spoiler:
where do you think (shadow) babies come from?

EDIT: And, regarding Mel... wow. Wowie wowie wow wow. I do love redheads.

That's where she got the ability to take Stannis's form and kill people with it. Well take stannis's form and his *** shots. The dirty murdering whore.

It actually is (more or less) explicitly stated. It's just mentioned in passing. Something along the lines of her saying that Stannis hasn't been around lately to warm her bed.

Let's be fair. It's all porn. In a fantasy setting, with lots of killing people and a bit of humour.

    No wonder it's ****ing awesome.

I figured Greyjoy would capture some of the blockading ships and they'd cramp into those and Greyjoy's fleet and sale east for Westeros probably landing in Highgarden since no war has been fought there yet.

You know you will. You'll whine, you'll moan, and then you'll end up clicking that little box.
