This episode is looking action packed. A battle at Riverun with the Blackfish Tully fight Jamie's Lannister & Frey army, Cersei takes on the sparrows and demands a trial by combat after having undead Clegan kill a bunch of sparrows and possibly her counsin whom she used to **** who converted, Arya and the waif fight, the manly woman and Jaime seem to have a meaningful talk and become enemies, Bron and Podrick meet again, and it looms like perky tits returns to Mereen with her dragon. I am kind of guessing the Kraken syblings also are making their way to Mereen.

            • So does she. That's why she's doing real sex work.

              • That episode was sorta crap. It's bull**** that Arya recovers from a dagger to the hilt in her guts, followed by immersion in ****-filled water, without so much as a fever. That arc (and, it turns out, the Blackfish arc) was credibility-busting. Bronn, Brienne, and the Hound deliver, but the episode was otherwise completely disappointing.

                Boo that episode!

                • And the story arcs didn't seem to progress much. Again.

                  • At least in the books she learned how to change faces. What did tv Arya grt out of the whole going to Braavos? Learning to sweep floors and blind fight? They don't even have the warg ability Arya wad learning in the books.

                    • I suppose it's theoretically possible that episode could have been more boring, but I'm not sure how.

                      • All I could think of was that they saved a lot of budget at Riverrun. But nice to see Jamie reembrace the dark side.

But all in all, pretty boring. But the joke telling scene was at least humorous but served no point.

                        • Yes, Jamie returned to ruthless managerialism, but that's getting a bit old too, given that it's a bit of a meme across many tv shows.

                          • Normally I'd agree, but it actually seemed a pivotal moment. He was reunited with Brienne who you think has the potential to coax out his "good side".
Which Jamie would prevail? And then he basically threatens to catapult Edmure's baby over the wall. Decision made. Love is the decision maker.

                            • In the books the blackfish surrenders Riverun to Jaime but escapes heading for the Vale to rally support against the Lannisters and to live to fight another day. I find that more satisfying than the tv show's constantly killing off characters to save budget.

                              • Also because his death scene was...

                                Jaime: Bring me the Blackfish.

                                Guy: Oh, uh, he died.

                                Jaime: Okay.
