  • That final scene... I've waited so long.

I still expect the final scene of episode 10 to be You Know What, and they could have that line said in some other context right before a cut to That Scene.
Episode 10 is going to end with something else. It's going to wrap up a bunch of different plotlines:

      Spoiler:

      - Jon becomes Lord Commander
      - Tyrion kills his father (who will not, in the end, **** gold--but I don't think they'll keep that line)
      - Dany locks up her dragons after they kill people
      - Episode will end with Bran meeting the Three-Eyed Crow and the Children of the Forest

And maybe a few others but I'm pretty confident what the ending will be.

Also we'll see Arya taking a ship over to Essos, or do you think that will come earlier?

          • I'd be willing to bet cash money that the very last scene will be
            Spoiler:
Stoneheart, possibly when she meets Brienne and Pod.

            • Grr goddamnit I can't believe I forgot that too.

              Yes, you are right.

              Spoiler:
Actually I hadn't thought of the angle where they just completely short-circuit Brienne's story by skipping her straight to Stoneheart. I figured they'd show the Frey hanging. That's actually pretty ****ing fantastic, it means they don't have to adapt all those Brienne chapters...but at the same time, we do miss the one or two good moments of Brienne's story in Feast, specifically Randyll Tarly and the Quiet Isle.

              • There hasn't been much forward momentum in the season so far. Granted, Joffrey's death was a big event, and Mad Queen Starey's big fall was mildly noteworthy (even if she'd only appeared in a couple of episodes)- but an awful lot of characters are doing stuff remarkably similar to what they were doing in episode 1.

                • And I've sneaking suspicion Witchypoo's bathtub scene was only crowbarred in at the last minute when the producers panicked at the prospect of an episode with no boobs.

All that moaning aside, it was a good one. Lovely scene with Tyrion and Prince Pedro at the end.

                  • Yes, it just wouldn't be Game of Thrones without gratuitous nudity (not complaining obviously). That scene was not in the books, they clearly threw it in there to get tits onscreen.

                    • Eh, I agree in general, but I think that scene was a bit more defensible in its use of nudity than most of what they've done. It was a character thing, in amongst the discussion of her not needing a potion to get Stannis in bed.

for the life of me I can't understand this attitude. I mean, there's an entire internet's worth of pornography out there; It's super easy for me to see tits if I want to.

                            • By cunning timing of her bathtime? Lucky she didn't end up "demonstrating her power" over the pizza delivery boy.

                              • In a show where the last "good" thing to happen was the horrible, torturous death of a young boy, what makes you think anything so good as pizza would make an appearance?
