  • Why would he do that? The bastards not looking like Cersei's children are evidence of incest, so Cersei has an excellent reason to order them killed. But Joffrey? Is he admitting to himself he may be Jaime's son? And has he seen them? Does he even know they look different, more like Robert?

    • Jesus Christ Oerdin. Cersei had the bastards killed because they were a threat to her son's reign, since they could be used to demonstrate that the kid was an incest baby.

edit: Oh, ****, did they change that for the show? Huh.

        • In the show, Joff had the bastards killed. In the books, it was Cersei.

The reason an assassin came at Bran when he was crippled:

          Spoiler:
Joff overheard his supposed "father" Robert say something about how that was no way to live, so he did it in an attempt to gain favor with Robert.

          • Yes, in the books, Joffery is slightly less a monster and a lot of what he does is to gain approval by Robert (until his death, obviously) and Cersei.

edit: as Reg says, this really isn't spoilers since the books seemingly changed it dramatically (or at the very least isn't interested in answering the question).

It's hard to remember back to the first book and sometimes the show and the books blur together in my mind.

I bet Tommen had a meeting with the hand of the king after that encounter with Margary Tyrell.

                    • Was Anne Boleyn really a power digging seductress? History seems to paint her the other way.

                        • Chinese state controlled TV has been having trouble keeping viewers as people have been switching to internet based streaming websites which allow them to bypass official state censorship but the state controlled media is making a bold new statement about how it wants more interesting programming by... Showing a dubbed version of Game of Thrones. While this is a bold move out of character for the state run television station people are still complaining that too much was edited out and the government censors have changed too much of the dialogue to suit "socialist values".

That can--and undoubtedly WILL--still happen. It will probably be the next-to-last scene in the season finale.
