And I really enjoy when they deviate from the books. If fun reading all the angst from the purists. IT"S ENTERTAINMENT, not life or death reality.

Both were meant as humor. I stopped reading this series during the long hiatus. Maybe after the show is done I'll go back and finish it off, but am actually looking forward to watching more without previous knowledge.

Besides, they'll just take a hiatus for a year and replace the show with a season of "Game of Bones" which will be an extended version of every orgy scene on the show. Viewers won't even notice.

I'm sure he is a great guy but I wonder about the work ethic of someone who takes 7 years to write a book I want now, now, NOW!

Also, re: Bran's vision: Not a surprise that a special effect shot from one episode would turn up in another as a "vision", and not a surprise that a vision would show an apparent "Big Bad".

Spoiler/note: There may be more cats. Or D&D may have thought three cats were redundant and consolidated them into a single cat character. Somewhat speciesist, but I understand they have a budget and the screen canvas is necessarily smaller than the page. I guess we'll find out soon!

In the latest episode, Tyrion says something interest which I believe might be a foreshadowing of something even us book readers haven't seen(but have speculated on):

Tyrions says about Sansa: she's not a killer......not yet anyway. I think this foreshadows what we know about her learning from Littlefinger. By the end of the last book, she shows a profound understanding of intrigue and an aptness to deceive.
