Who are you trying to fool? Everybody knows now that you're a closet conservative.

Oh come on, don't act like it's a surprise. I admit to being slightly surprised by the growing love affair with The Hound (is there anything George RR Martin won't do to shock us?), but not by her mancock.

            • I don't know why people were moaning about that season finale. It was a good episode that moved characters along nicely. Far better than the massively contrived shocker at the end of season 2.

Slightly shocked to see a new facial expression from Emosulk Snow. Maybe it's the prelude to some real acting in season 4.

              • One can only hope, but Kit Harrington is clearly the weak link in the cast.

                • The chemistry between Jon Snow and Ygritte this season was incredible so you shut your whore mouth.

                  • They can just replace him with the guy that played Robb Stark as they look so identical you can only tell them apart because one of them is playing in the Snow.

                    • There's a clear difference between them. Robb always looked glum with a vaguely bored air, whereas Snow always looked glum with a vaguely sad air.

                      • What new facial expression do you mean?

Is it "I know some things... ouch!" ?

                          • (this is books) I am wondering how Ned managed to be successful until he came down to be the Hand. He was even successful in Robert's rebellion.

                            • He was always a warrior and was a foster brother with Robert under John Arryan so they had a tight relationship. That said, Ned was trained to be a vassal/follower of his older brother who was killed by the mad king after Rhaegar kidnapped his sister. Robert was enraged because he was engaged to marry Ned's sister and John Arryan kind of lead the whole thing from the big picture scale while Robert and Ned lead the banner men. Ned actually had a chance to declare himself king but didn't want the responsibility so Robert got it kind of as a default. After that Ned was just over seeing his family's holdings in the North until he got named hand of the King.

                              Spoiler:
The sequence is Robert got wounded at the battle of the Trident when he killed Rhaegar so Ned took the Army to King's Landing for Robert but before he got there Tywin's forces had already sacked it (before that the Lannisters were neutral). Ned immediately left King's Landing though to look for his sister with just a few knights, the old King's guard was holding his sister in a tower and they died in the fight, his sister "died in a bed of blood" immediately after and then Ned came home with the infant John Snow. It seems logical that John Snow wasn't Ned's child and instead was his sister's child with Prince Rhaegar (who had kidnapped her) and she died in child birth making Ned promise something which so far has not been revealed. The only person left alive who was there and knows the truth was Reed who is Jojan's father.

                              • So many words. I think what he's really asking is how could Ned be a successful lord in his own lands, being so nice and all. I guess the true reason is he never forgot to check the weather in the morning.
