That is your point of view then. Still, it is where most of the EU's administration is based. So capital of Europe it is

He must be too busy doing EU stuff to post?
I haven't seen him here for a few weeks, unusual enough that I actually wondered if he was well. Good to hear he's OK.
Also my estimation of Brussels has increased massively, considering this time I got to chill and appreciate its rough edges, instead of being a tourist like the last couple of times...
I really like the place now - I felt right at home.

I never really disagreed with that you know. Unlike the French or the British, we don't need to feel ourselves more important than we really are
Then again, I don't expect furriners to look any further than their own border"An archaeologist is the best husband a women can have; the older she gets, the more interested he is in her." - Agatha Christie

that's certainly a good thing. especially as, unlike say britain or france, belgium really is not important."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

Certainly the pissoir of Europe!
I don't think I've smelled more stale pee in a city than in Brussels - no wonder they have the Mannekin Pis as their symbol...
That new Magritte museum ain't half bad though and I had some excellent food when I was there.
It's very rough around the edges, but it also has the ability to inspire.
