All divers I know have an additional insurance. It helps you getting in the hyperbaric chambers if the need should arise and repatriation is taken care of.

Anyway, since I don't know about your perticular case I can't comment on this.
Understood. I'll look into it, but I'm almost certain I'm fine. I have some of the best health insurance my employer's money can buy.

Note that you live in Europe. Top-tier private health insurance is almost always better than national insurance schemes.

According to what I've read there is no such thing as acclimatization to nitrogen narcosis. I admit the possibility that this is simply rhetoric.

Everybody gets it, yes but you can learn how to cope with it, as long as you recognize the tell tale signs.

For me on nitrox, once past 35 meters i start to slow down. Below 45 meters I need helium to properly react to things. Knowing this makes life a lot less dangerous under water.

Now, if I skip a few weekends I need to subtract 5 meters from either dept so there is some measure of acclimatization for me.

I'm a very experienced diver. My whole family recently got certified. It's definitely worth it. Diving is probably my favorite activity. Especially wreck diving!

my 16 and 13 year old sisters, and me.

            my youngest sister (11).

You don't need to be good at swimming to do scuba. Just as long as you can kick your legs.

Cozumel, Mexico. Best place I've ever dived. None of the pictures turn ed out too well, but I have an album on facebook...

My parents and the two sisters in the first picture are currently diving in the Philippines. My parents have gone all over the world, but I can't go on vacation with them because of school and work.

I have been on three dives. 30 feet in Jamacia (resort dive similar to what you probably did) and then 2 in Puerto Vallerte to 40 feet and 70 feet. Absolutely loved it. One of the best and most enjoyable experiences I have ever had.

Diving is unnatural. If god wanted man back in the water, he'd have evolved us all into dolphins.

Went for my classroom/pool sessions this weekend.

**** all y'all that said it would never be as fun as the first time. Even being in some ****ty-ass pool in a YMCA on west 14th street was ****ing awesome.

The other people with my instructor were terrible ****ing swimmers, and were really uncomfortable under the water. One of the guys would freak out every time his mask filled with water or came off. Calm the **** down, douchebag.
