Anyone seriously claiming sexuality is a choice clearly exists in a bit of a grey area as far as their own sexuality is concerned.

Is it me, or does Lady Gaga's "born this way" sound eerily similar to Madonna's "Express yourself"?

As for the 'gay gene' theory- I don't know for sure whether it's simply genetics or some other natural mechanism (possibly too much/little of male/female hormones in the womb), but in terms of determining civil rights and equality in a modern society it really shouldn't matter.

Anyone who thinks that gay men and lesbians (and bisexuals, and transgendered individuals, yada, yada, yada) should be treated differently from everyone else because of a collection of texts of dubious provenance and reliability should perhaps be reminded of how anti-semitism, slavery and apartheid were all 'justified' by reliance on partial and selective readings of other parts of those texts.

I was pleased to see though, that Westboro Baptist bigots were prevented from picketing/disrupting Elizabeth Taylor's funeral by the able and speedy management of her interment.
