Designing dungeons, labyrinths, catacombs . . . .

I am digging around using Bing but maybe there is someone here who knows of a good site where I can use or download and install a free blueprint design program that allows people to create places/buildings for fantasy or science-fiction stories/novels.

I've already downloaded and installed a free program version of 3D Architecture; it's use is for ordinary purposes, mainly designing blueprints of houses. I am going to toy with it, to see if I can use it creatively enough to design what I have in mind for a possible fantasy novel.

But if someone else knows of a much better online resource/program, I'll definitely check it out.

Google SketchUp works ok and is pretty easy to get started with. 3D view navigation inside structures is **** though. (I might just be missing something, since I've barely used it.) Can use it for blueprints too but I haven't tried that feature yet.

I found a freeware program called Dungeon Crafter III. It looks decent enough; need to play with it some more.

Try secondlife, just don't get sucked in to the culture, you can build anything you want, costs money tho for land .
