The trouble (imho) isn't necessarily the rate (though I wouldn't mind it going up a small bit) or the capital gains tax, the trouble is all the damn loop holes that the wealthy take advantage of. The more complex the tax code the bigger advantage the wealthy get since they are better able to take advantage of deductions and tax breaks. Eliminate a lot of these (as the deficit commission recommended) and I think things would be a bit more equitable.Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

I am comfortable removing all the tax deductions for charity/mortgage/etc. I am not sure what all tax deductions exist, I know those are the ones the middle class often gets.
