    At a public company, absolutely.
    At a private firm, it's a question of the owner's desires. But changing the DNA of a company can be a decidedly bad idea.

      On the other hand, couldn't a MBA be good to have when you're looking for venture capital to achieve your ideas? It's probably a good thing to be able to tell the decisions makers at the bank or wherever what the like to hear in their own language.

      Every MBA should be best friend with someone that would be able to come up with great innovations.... like in that movie The Social Network...

      Most of the top people at top tech companies (at least the ones I'm aware of) are engineers or otherwise technical in background, but then they also get MBAs.
