Hmmmm....part of me wonders if we are looking at this question the wrong way. Forgive me for a moment......the idea of proof is really what stands out to me. Proof is a scientific term. You can prove certain things about matter and the universe through a series of tests and come up with quite accurate equations that show us how the universe is governed. We can do this because the goal of science is to explain the universe in a natural way...ie..without looking at supernatural powers. So therefore, the answer is "no, you cannot prove that God exists." Because science in not an adequate tool for the job. for example, I can easy prove that water (H2O) is a compound and is NOT an element.
Think of it another way, prove that God does not exist. You could not do that either. But i can easily prove that water is NOT an element, but a compound. this is what science can do. And it is a very useful tool, just not one that can be used for this job.
Do I believe that God exists? Yes, I absolutely I do. Why? Well, I have my reasons for that but I do not think that any of those reasons would be "proof" in the term that we are using it here.
