I.

1. The universe came into existence.
2. Therefore the universe is an effect.
3. Every effect requires a cause.
4. God is the first cause.


II.
1. The universe came into existence at an extremely low entropic state, and with over 100 constants extremely fine tuned to assure its' existence and that of all life as we know it.

III. Science says no to abiogenesis. That is, the Laws of Physics and chance negates the occurrence of abiogenesis. The only way life can come into existence in our universe is through the existence of an Intelligent being capable of putting boundaries conditions on the laws of Physics and chance to create the extremely precise configurations of atoms required for life.

IV. Even if we assume the existence of first living self reproducing progenote coming into existence via natural causes here on Earth, these progenotes will never evolve into all the lifeforms we observe here on planet Earth. To get the diversity of life as seen on Earth requires an Intelligent being capable of putting boundaries conditions on the laws of Physics and chance to create the extremely precise configuration of atoms required for life.

V. A universe that exudes intelligence, as ours does, requires an intelligent cause, therefore there must exist an intelligent being, this intelligent being is God. Since our Universe and Earth are orderly, and beautiful, and who cares about His creations, yet allows for great liberty, and spoke the words of Jesus, this intelligent being must be a loving God.

Note: Time is always finite. There exist no real concrete things in our universe that are infinite.

I did not claim what you suggested. It is simply a 5th statement that will be used if anyone makes the claim that time is infinite, therefore all things that can happen will happen without a 'God' including all the plays of William Shakespeare being written by monkeys. In the real world all matter and energy is finite, thus space is finite, all distances are finite, and time is finite.

I dunno about that, necessarily. Jon Miller and I have very similar views on God. Besides, not everyone considers that to be a downside or bad thing (that God's mystery simply cannot be fully understood by people)

I was just going on to gribbler's OP... once you go over this "existence" red herring all sorts of interesting options are on the table... and those do not include the religions and their traditions made to be the opiate of the masses
