I think someone's finally seen fit to remove my moderator privileges though. Officially I was kept as one when I left so if I had time I could do a bit of modding on this side of the pond, though I haven't done any since sometime in 2008. It's weird thinking back, we're all getting on a bit now. So much so that I can't just make that joke at you and Dauphin anymore

Are Dauphin, Snotty, Cort Haus, DrSpike, Gibsie, etc. still around?

I think most of them are.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Yeah, although I don't recall seeing Dr Spike in some time.

And yeah, age catches up with us all...I'm no spring chicken you know, although actually in far better shape than I was when I was in my 20s, to be fair.

How are you recovering? Regained your strength or is it a slow process?

We should meet up for a drink at some point (although at the moment I am in Germany quite a lot, but on on Friday and the weekend) but I doubt I am going to be around in London for much longer either - I don't work in London as I am self employed now and can live anywhere, and there are family reasons for my desire to move back up North. Not Hull mind you, that's just a step too far

A slow process sadly, my immune system isn't great and I got hit by quite a few bugs over the winter, but it's moving in the right direction. Been back and work, back to finish the masters and planning the wedding, so I've got enough to keep me occupied! I can't wait for September when I can go back to having a normal life!

Definitely. Did you mean Fridays were good or not? I should be free most Fridays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, though I'm going skiing 12-19th.

Well I am glad things are slowly recovering

Yeah, *most* Fridays are pretty free for me

As well as can be expected. On the positive side, I'm engaged and the switch to what was a new job went really well, including a brief stint working for the old City Minister. On the negative side, the briefness of that stint was because I got cancer, so I've spent most of the last year in and out of hospital. But I'm in remission and slowly getting back to normal work and normal life. An eventful 3 years or so!

Speaking of doing a drinks meet, anyone up for doing a LAN Civ4 game or something? Been a while since I had a multiplayer game.
