Mind, I'm not saying he needs to get sloshed drunk, but a slight bit tipsy every once in a while never hurt no one. And, besides, women think people who don't drink at all are weird - either they think the person is uber-religious or was an alcoholic before, regardless having a beer or wine is more normal than not.

You know, normal people would say someone who doesn't drink is probably just fine. A person like me gets reactions like, 'That's good. Better than me.' or 'I wish I could do that.'.
There is a fundamental disconnect with reality here on Apolyton where someone not drinking is seen as abnormal and cause for concern. Here on Earth, most people respect someone for not drinking. I don't drink, and outside of Apolyton and some Marines (ironically?) no one has ever seemed to think it was a problem. Normal people seem to think, "great, more for us and we don't have to worry about who will be designated driver".Comment
