Yes, I'm very dissapointed in Alito. His first amendment credentials seemed good after Citizens United.

Do dead soldiers have rights? I think so. Flags don't.

And they say Americans don't understand sarcasm... oh, wait.

I don't think it was sarcasm at all. He'll probably say it was, now that you've given him a smoke screen.

You absolutely baffle me sometimes. How did you ever learn to operate a computer without shorting out the keyboard with your torrents of drool?

I think it was a correct call.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

It's certainly correct in the legal sense that it is what the First Amendment says. Whether it's morally or philosophically correct is another issue.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

It probably wouldn't hurt the cause of freedom in this country if they were prevented from protesting; OTOH, it wouldn't much help the cause of civility either. A thousand-foot buffer sounds acceptable, though fifteen hundred would be better.

There is one exception still: asshatery in time of war.

So wait... what exactly is the rationale for assault being not protected by the first amendment?
