So you'd rather leave it to the tender mercies of rent extractors?

      Exactly. Pick your poison.

These are the same ISPs that dragged their feet with IPv6. I think there's a strong case to be made for a competent regulating body. Perhaps an international one.

Kuci is right, the UN should regulate instead.

If I had a time machine, I'd show HC a recording of HC-ten-years-from-now being forced to read every post that HC has made on this forum, along with the resulting downward spiral into crippling shame and despair.

Says the person who isn't ashamed to post dickgirl porn

Even if I change my mind about some of the opinions I hold now, I'm not ashamed of anything I've said and I'm not worried about the future me being broken up over the fact that I was once 18 years old.

HC is spouting market economy claptrap that has nothing to do with the topic.
Could this be considered a foot in the door for the FCC?

It's possible that you'll never have the level of self-reflection necessary to regret having been the world's worst 18-year-old, but that's hardly a future to look forward to.

Oh no. Loinburger doesn't like me. I'm just going to have to sit in a corner re-evaluate my whole life now. Maybe I should start cutting myself.

It would be pretty strange, yes. I'm actually just riding the roflcopter.

                          "world's worst"

                          That's quite a title.

Let's summarize. Asher is right. HC is an idiot.

Net neutrality is important. In most areas high speed internet is a duopoly between the cable provider and DSL provider. Consider a case like Comcast which owns NBC. They could, if they desired, throttle traffic from Fox.com in order to promote NBC.com and, of course, they'd try to kill Netflix. For someone who speaks about business, HC seems to have a very pollyanna view of it.

                            - John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

It's not that he doesn't like you, it's that he thinks you're wrong.

I think people are wrong all the time while still liking them.
