I just had two home-made hamburgers.

Rocket, onions, a bun, some ketchup, dutch cheese, touch of sea salt, and most importantly, iberic pork

For all I know, it was a great dinner Alby... but it sure looks like crap

Except you can't actually eat what these people photograph. They **** with the food to make it look better.

But at least they make the food look edible

I love the local cable tv spots for local restaurants. They are low budget, and the food looks so bad, you would never want to eat at the place after seeing the commercial

A local greasy spoon near here advertises "Home cooked meals just like mom made".

They obviously never ate my mom's cooking.

            (Sorry mom, but it's true)

Have you seen Julia Childs and that Jacques lately? Julia Childs doesn't look like she can stand up much longer. Jacques is really patient.

There's a Bill Bailey sketch about 'food porn' photographers. Very funny, though perhaps he does a dis-service to his subject if it is as difficult as Ming suggestss

Dude, Julia Child died in 2004, at age 91.

That's Jacques Pepin who ran with her BTW.

But doesn't she still look good?

I got into a fistfight with my stepbrother on an italian sidewalk because of a couple of bad food-photos once. The restaurant had those lousy, pale pictures of Spagetti Bolognese and Pollo with fries that I refused to go in there after seeing them. My hungry Stepbrother got really annoyed and the fighting commenced on that sidewalk, an evening in the tourist town of Pietra Ligure on the Italian riviera.

I might have been 15 and he was a year and a half younger than me. I was however quite thin and he well trained so it was an even fight. That's what happens if you play civ on your free time and your stepbrother plays Ice Hockey. That was probably also why he got so cranky when he got hungry.

It ended up with my father grabbing us by the necks to the next restaurant that was like 100 meters away.

Tonight's dinner will be Chicken Marrakesh, couscous, and cucumber salad. I started marinading the chicken last night following the recipe linked below though I substituted Chardonnay for the water listed in the recipe.

We had fish and chips from The Codfather yesterday.
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?
