+1 (except I have seen some Firefly episodes)

My brother was big on the series but I never saw a complete episode. I did like the movie though.

Science Channel will wrap each episode with interstitial segments starring renowned physicist Dr. Michio Kaku, who will discuss the theoretical science behind the show's sci-fi concepts.

What theoretical science? What concepts, beyond "Will the geeks swallow old Western plots if there's a spaceship in it?".

There are people who will seriously argue that Firefly was better than New BSG, you know. Yes, I understand your shock and disbelief.

Never saw the show or Battlestar Galactica or whatever the other one was... Babylon 5, I think.

But I already know Stargate SG-1 trumps them all.

Stargate SG 1 should be the most popular show on Apolyton. This is a Civilization site. People here like history especially ancient history. There was a thread recently where posters talked about some Chariot of the Gods nonsense. I don't know how popular mythology here is but hey.

Science fiction meets ancient history. How is that not a win win for Apolyton and Civ fans?

A fun (and often times funny) show without all the boring forced drama and thinly-veiled social commentary that other shows feel the need to have to sound important... a show about alien Pharaohs getting their asses kicked by the US military... greatest show ever

Given New BSG's ending, is that really so hard to believe?
