  • 18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
So you know who they are. Which you left out. They are those who do not glorify or give thanks to God and worship idols.

So you know that I am not skipping out on the idea from later verses (although really you do need to read all of Romans, at least):
6 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[e] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”[f]
I actually consider Romans to be saying that homosexuality was a result for one group (the gentiles who Paul was speaking to, the Romans/Greeks... ) of that group's sin/wickedness/etc.

Yes, it isn't enlightened as many mean enlightened now, but it isn't the homosexual activity which lead to the statements in verse 32.

And once more, please read the rest of Romans. And the rest of the Bible. The point is that we are all sinners, whether we were Jews (and had the law) or gentiles (who didn't). But that God will save us, and that we don't have to face the penalty of death.

Show some honesty and integrity here.

    You completely miss the point.

    • By your logic we can all go out and sin all we want, with no consequences since God is going to save us at the end.

No, and that question is addressed many times in other books of the Bible!

Although you will find some Christians in the past (and now) who thought so.

I should work now, I can point you to the places where it is addressed later.

This is where Romans 6 is a nice place to read up on.

                • I saw that old bozo on the news this morning. He was not apologetic to anybody that gave their money away. He said he confused the dates and the real rapture will be on OCT 11. The worse thing is there will be people that believe him even after being wrong more than once. It is hard for me to have any sympathy for people that stupid.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Which is why Romans 6 was written, because people assumed that being washed clean of sin by God's grace meant you could sin all you want. Paul wanted to make clear that is not the case - we are free from the chains of sin and because we are of God, we choose to live for God and not for sin (a quick paraphrase):

                        Romans 6 (NIV):
1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
                        - John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
