well in that case - it makes sense, and if you can make good money, which with SAP support/implementation, you should be able to - being closer is even better

Redundancy...

I am just in discussions with another company regarding a contract in Ireland too on a 6-month contract initially (but a full rollout so would go on for years in reality)...€500 a day. Also looks very promising. The advantage with the Manchester position is it is permanent and would allow for an easy move.
So things are well under control. Plans, backup plans, etc. And I've still not heard back from my bosses boss regarding another project (which I would do as freelance due to the redundancy).Speaking of Erith:

This is just a gloating thread isn't it?
Glad everything's going so well.Jon Miller: MikeH speaks the truth

Capable SAP implementation chaps being hard to find and all that. Perhaps they will wait?

A little bit of gloating, some uncertainty but it doesn't look like I am in too much bother. The main stress is deciding which job I'd rather do.

OK, more update. Quite an interesting situation. I have decided to opt for the freelance contract position. With the situation I have been in recently (where I have been completely self-sufficient for the past two years and pretty much managing myself) so I have decided to opt for the freelance position because the pay is considerably better. Just a lot of messing to sort out now before the end of the month (setting up a limited company, need to buy a laptop as I've been provided with one whilst working for my current company).
So off to Dublin during the week it is. I'd tell you how much I'm on, but you'd just weep
By leaving I will forfeit redundancy payment, but it isn't so great, certainly far less than the extra money I will earn in the meantime.Speaking of Erith:
