I'm sorry to hear about both your unemployment and, especially, your suicide attempt. I am glad you failed in your suicide attempt though and I can tell you although being unemployed sucks and can mean a huge loss in standard of living it isn't life threatening and unemplyment does pay enough to get along. Yes, mortgages and car payments can be very tough but I'm sure you'll make it if you really apply yourself especially since you're a smart guy and you have marketable job skills.

Florida and California (basically states with lots of old folks) have a huge demand for nurses. Even with a local unemployment rate of 10.5% (which is an all time local high since the 1930's) there are still tons of nurses wanted ads. If you can't find a job in Texas then look to Florida or California because they're hiring tons of nurses.

You'll land on your own feet, Doc. It'll be ok. Take all your fears and sadness and give it to God and go forth in confidence with your head high in finding new employment. I'll be praying for you, my friend.

Well they are very impressed with my resume. ( duh? ) They have to do a background and history check. I'll know something in about two days.
                Man, what a sh!thole of a place.
12 hour shifts and a lot of old fashion paper work.
They want me to take care of the medicare patients because of my background doing home health.
Lots and lots of paper work, no computers they are not modernized.
                Well, better than nothing.
                BTW
I don't have a compact licenses to work in another state besides Texas.

Friends, do not, not, go into the nursing field!!

I took 60 tabs of xanax, slep for three days.
When I woke up I was disapointed.

                Oh, well.

                More later

                love you all

He better. At least he better not land on my feet. I don't need anyone squashing my feet. I guess he can land on yours and that would be OK by me.

I used to say depression was like having that song in your head 24/7. Then I realized, hey, that song kicks ass. So depression is actually more like having some really bad heavy metal stuck in your head.

Doc, there's not much to say that hasn't already been said. I'll be praying for you. Hang tough.
