I'll be leaving frozen Winnipeg, Canada for tropical London, England next week. I'll be in London from February 2-6 and then going to 'the continent'. Anyone Apolytonians in London drink beer?

Winnipeg, like most of populated Canada, is pretty far south (as it goes).

It is also home to the command centre for Royal Command for Global Domination Through Our American Puppets, so you'd best show some respect if you want to avoid a nice vacation in an Egyptian prison.

Precisely. I certainly won't say our lager/pilsner is better than yours...actually it is f**king awful over here...that's why I don't drink it. We do do very good ales, and if I want a good lager, I'll go German

I have to disagree with that. There are some really great British lager/pilsners. Just not the mass market ones you find in every pub. There are loads of small brewers who are making a great lager or pilsner style beer amongst their range of ales.
