  • What is the purpose of rap and why isn't illegal already?

I mean really? Why isn't this a cut and dry thing?

What does it do for you? Does it make your dick hard when you crank ODB and shoot a cracker with your $100 dime-store handgun? Oh, such an exciting 'genre'

furthermore, the most critically acclaimed, lucrative rappers have been white: The Beastie Boys and Eminem.

there are too many liberals in the government, noone to take a stand and make this blight go away forever - that's why

                Yes, actually.

This is patently false. Even Em refuses to put himself in the same league as Jay-Z, Biggie, or myself.

Since Canada has a lot more restrictions on speech, Asher could actually attempt to get rap banned in Canada(through one of the “human rights courts”) on the basis that it directly insights violence towards women, law enforcement officers and prostitutes.

I mean after all, the publisher of the Western Standard was attacked with the same legislation, and he only published the Danish cartoons which mocked Mohammad.
Please put Asher on your ignore list.
                  Please do not quote Asher.
He will go away if we ignore him.

What the **** are you all talking about?

You all do realize that not all... nay, not even most rap says anything negative towards women.

And police? What year do you think it is? 1990? I can't even think of an anti-police rap song that was made in the past 15 years!

Do you all know how old the stuff you are talking about is? NWA said **** the Police in 1988! 1988! And Ice Cube has been doing family comedies for the past 10 years now.

Ice T made Cop Killer in 1992 and he's been playing a cop on Law & Order since 2000.

It's 2011. Rapper stopped talking about **** the police almost 20 years ago!

Just wow. The ignorance is outstanding. What is this caricature of rap that you all think rap is?

Exactly, as bad as old rap is it still makes more of an impression than new rap. And the only thing old rap had going for it was controversial statements.

Old rap was about ****ing over authorities, new rap is about ****ing girls.
