The point is, scientists observed what they saw in nature and then built a model to represent those observations. The model scientists built is extremely accurate but not perfect (suggesting there are other or maybe even better models), and the model is completely at odds with the physical world as we experience it.

I'm thinking of the people watching the flood levels rise. Why bother praying to god to ease the levels? He has his plan.

Well I guess when you have nothing else you can do, you humble yourself before God. There are worse things than praising and humbling yourself before God right before you die (if the flood levels don't fall) . Note: I'm not saying that it will help guarantee salvation as I tend to be more universalist.

The first thing your going to have to stop doing is trying to convert.
I know Christians feel it is there duty but it is not.
You cannot bring people around to your way of thinking by telling them they are wrong.
It is not only Christians who believe in GOD.

You can hope for conversion and plant a seed, but if you push and push and push, most people will be repelled. We are called to love others, regardless of what they believe. Once they see our light, they will want it. But to keep criticizing doesn't show them the light of God at all.

Errr just because it's at odds with the physical world as you 'know it' doesn't mean they made it up. And I'm saying the exact opposite about the Bible than you are about quantum physics. It's unlikely for a man to naturally see the world the way the Bible talks about it. The understanding of the Bible is not human understanding, it's divine understanding.

It is natural to be repelled when someone is using indirect communication as Jesus does. You have to first be repelled or else you have mistaken the communication as using direct communication.
