Assuming you're telling the truth, it was probably just a typo.

Assuming I'm telling the truth? What the ****?

Heraclitus, if you have any honor, ****ing say something and admit you edited your post.

Are you going to actually address the points he brought up or are you just trying to derail this thread? You're always really obnoxious to Heraclitus, just because you disagree with him. He makes better arguments than a lot of other right wingers.

Get the hell out of here. I was the only one to have discussions with Hera and treat him like a man. But his racist drivel started getting too much and I can't do that anymore.

Wow, another one of Hera's masturbatory technocratic transhumanist fantasies. What happened now? Did you buy an iPad? Did a gypsy steal it?

I know this son of a ***** would edit it. I should have ****ing quoted him.
He is telling the truth. But I meant capitalism, communism was a typo and edited it a minute or so later, well before anyone responded.

He is telling the truth, I did edit the post.

I meant capitalism, I misspoke when I wrote communism. I edited to correct it minute or so later, well before anyone posted a response. Alby isn't at fault here since the paragraph sort of makes sense even with communism instead of capitalism in there if one equates communism with single party systems.

I hope you can see I'm being honest here since Japan and Singapore make poor examples of Communism (I hope everyone agrees). And in the past I've repeatedly wrote on these boards that I don't think China is communist any more in any meaningful sense of the word.

@Alby: Also what do general objections against democracy have to do with racism?

Edit: It seems instead of editing, I DPed, I'll leave the posts as they are since Alby already responded.

2nd Edit: Does anyone know how long one must wait after posting before the "last edited" label show up on a post?

To elaborate I think democracy is flawed primarily because it formally gives equal political rights to people who do not equally share a long term interest in the welfare of the country.

There is also, historically speaking, no example of the unproductive abstaining from voting to take away resources from the productive when given a chance over the long run.

Interest in the long term welfare of the country. As in "I have a interest in ensuring I have a job in 10 years."
Not long term interests of the country.

To elaborate on the use of the word "interest". Its in the sense of incentives not generally just strong feelings (though those count to some extent too).

Who exactly is it that shares no long term interest in the welfare of the country? Are you saying that laborers or people who can't find jobs do not share a long term interest in the welfare of the country.
Historically disenfranchised groups have always suffered legalized abuse, discrimination and oppression no matter what the promise of legal protection. The case of black people in the United States is an excellent example. Women are another example. There was a time when a man could legally kill his wife in the United States with little fear of legal repercussion. Statistics show that after 19th amendment was passed the rate of "accidental" deaths at home of women declined while the rate of convictions of husbands murdering theri wives increased. Effectively once women could vote - and serve on juries, men could no longer get a free pass on "accidentally" beating the little woman to death.
Finally, let me point out to you, a Slovene, that had Slovenia not successfully secede from Yugoslavia, and had Slobodan Milosevich managed to create his vision of Yugoslavia converted into Greater Serbia you would be a second class citizen in your own country and would be singing a different tune.
