“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Jon Miller: MikeH speaks the truth
Jon Miller: MikeH is a shockingly revolting dolt and a masturbatory urine-reeking sideshow freak whose word is as valuable as an aging cow paddy.

I wonder how this fits with their plans for Chrome OS?

Going to be a rather interesting way to bankrupt MS.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Considering they launched both yesterday simultaneously, I wonder if there is a connection?

                    WTF are these called apps?

I don't have a smart phone and I have not used any "apps" but most of them sound like bookmarks to web pages. Is there anything more to them. Why not just have a bookmark?

Some of the "apps" are just bookmarks to regular webpages.

The other "apps" are still HTML5/CSS/JS/etc and can be accessed by any capable browser. The app store just lets you bookmark them. Paid apps CAN be protected through the store, so they're for paying customers only.

The other important distinction is the minimum base spec. The Chrome Store apps support multitouch, and the minimum browser featureset is very, very high allowing you to do all kinds of things you can't do on a regular website, since you need to support a litany of browsers. The Chrome apps support multitouch, 3D rendering, databases, highest levels of CSS, JS, etc.

The main idea is once ChromeOS launches, it's essentially a Chrome browser running on Linux. You download "apps" which are all based on website technology, without looking or feeling like websites.

                      It's a PARADIGGGGMMMM SHIIIIFFTTT!!

Has anyone tried the games? How well do those work? That's the most fascinating bit for me.

And they have Serious Sam demo on there!
