The rank-and-file Victorian soldier was essentially cannon fodder. When you have expected losses in the thousands for just a day's worth of fighting on a single field, it would be a waste of time, energy and resources to give them the kind of training modern-day soldiers get.Tutto nel mondo è burlaComment
