I don't think you know that Jewish culture was destroyed when they were conquered by the Babylonians. When the Persians allowed them to return and recreate their culture the texts of Genesis had to be interpreted.

Why do some people get such an important opportunity and others don't?
A lot do get a choice, but choose not to follow Jesus. And Jesus allows them to make their choice (see the young rich ruler in the gospel of Luke). However, some (like people of certain times and cultures) don't get a choice during their lives, but the Book of Revelations says that they get a choice on the day of The Great White Throne Judgement. I don't want to speculate on why God does things that way.

That's why you remain so ignorant.

Try learning some history for yourself then.

            • I can't say there is anything surprising about Kid ending up as a religious person - he wasn't particularly rational to begin with.

Imran is the one I can't quite figure, but for now I'm putting that down as due to the girl.

grog want tank...Grog Want Tank... GROG WANT TANK!

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

You've demonstrated your misunderstanding here in this thread. Plus you pretend to disagree with me about something but aren't specific about what. Instead you simply insult me.

I'm explaining to you why the creation story is sometimes taken literally.

Being 'rational' to you probably means making money or something like that. So point well taken.

so your point was irrelevant. what a surprise.

If my point was irrelevant then why did you disagree with it?

More to the point, why don't you say something relevant instead of all this bull****?

                            • if you read back you'll notice that i skipped over what you said because i suspected it was irrelevant and moved straight on to insulting you for not knowing anything about anything.

i've already made several points in this thread. feel free to actually pick up on any of them...
