Were you eating 5 times a day though?

it would've been 3 meals and maybe a couple of snacks, either fruit or a chocolate bar. here it tends to be fruit or açaí.

Morning: 1 scoop whey protein with 1 scoop all natural unsweetened cocoa
                  1 banana/raisins
1 tbls all natural peanut butter

Noon: Chicken breast, frozen mixed vegetables, sea salt, black pepper, olive oil all mixed up in a bowl.

                  Afternoon: Same.

Evening: 1 scoop whey protein, 1 tbls all natural peanutbutter, raisins.

This is a cutting diet. When I bulk I eat 5 times a day. So right now I'm probably at less than 5$ a day. I eat the same thing every day in the same order and the same relative amount.

Note: I've significantly increased my salt intake in order to retain more water. This allows me to keep the disc in my back in better shape. Also, I put the cocoa in at night too because cocoa is a really good anti-oxidant. I also drink green tea 4 times a day.

In all fairness, I sometimes eat a frozen pizza. It's the only junk food I eat and the only real divergence from my diet that I take. When I eat the frozen pizza, that's all I eat for the day.

Ramen noodle soup, roughly twenty cents a bag
McDonald's double cheeseburger, now just $1
Genuine Taco Bell grade-q tacos...I don't know how cheap, nor do I want to know

Note that the latter two options come pre-cooked, and I imagine even Taco Bell tastes better than "whey protein." Bad food is cheap, dude. Oh, and my wife points out that if you're going to be blaming schools for obesity you ought to start by mentioning those profoundly crummy school lunches. She agrees with you about cheap, healthy eating, but her idea of good food is stuff I wouldn't touch except at gunpoint.

Well, I figured the school lunches were a given. Also, I factored in personal responsibility as well. People in America lack discipline and they think their food should include food that tastes great and makes them feel great about the world. **** that. America needs a good kick in the ass. That's why I say we need military drill sergeants running the physical education at these schools. There's nothing like instilling good discipline and habits in kids.
