In the interview, at least, it was mostly a discussion about the difference between what was promised in the campaign and what was actually delivered. Which-given the way things have happened-certainly means that Stewart was coming at Obama from the left, but the framing was not the same as somebody who was just complaining that Obama hadn't done enough. Clearly Stewart is frustrated by Obama's lack of action, but there is a substantive difference between those gripes and what actually went on in the interview.

The entire interview consisted of Stewart whining "you should have done this but you didn't."

It would have been more useful to explain what Obama should have done and why. It got tiring halfway through.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier
