I have kissed men on the lips/etc. Because I am comfortable with my sexuality, I no longer kiss (wo)men who want me to just because they want me to. I am comfortable enough to say no, because I know that I don't have latent homophobia, that I am sure of my sexuality, and that I don't have anything to prove.

I choose to say no, because kissing (wo)men on the lips is an intimacy that I don't desire to share and implies an intimacy that isn't shared. It also changes others expectations/thoughts about me.

I do have one exception to the no kissing (wo)men on the lips rule, it is the girl who I am in love with (and I love kissing her).

It's just a part of the culture, if I dissed that I'd be dissing them and the fact that they're gay. I value them as friends and I also value my straight friends who are their friends too. Why risk alienating a big section of my friends here for something that is frankly no big deal?

I don't see the problem, but then I guess I'm not uptight and closeted like you. You should grow up and release yourself from these emotional shackles of yours - I rather think that your problem with getting laid with a woman is in some way connected as well.
