      No, it's not obvious if the argument is that human friendliness = weakness or human lack of friendliness = they won't become our friends or that human lack of effort into programming friendliness = they won't become our friends.

        Well,

        1) It was funny and at least made sense, whether or not you agree with the implication (I could disagree with the multiverse interpretation of QM implicit in it, but recognize that it is humor)

        2) I think the point was that without friendliness a transcendent entity would value the uses to which it could place free energy more highly than the uses to which any other being could place it. Therefore, without maliciousness it might sadly decide that from a purely utilitarian perspective it was morally obligated to "eat" humanity
