You're so full of crap it's splattering out of your posts. Despit Fox New's attempts to spin this with their usual partisan propaganda the reality is very simple. When Juan Williams started at NPR he signed a contract to abide by listed ethical standards, Juan broke those standards no less then five times, each time he broke the ethical standards he received a written warn then NPR gave him another chance, finally his boss told him he was going to get fired if he breach the ethical standards one more time, so the last instance was literally the end of a long series of ethical violations by Juan Williams. The reality which Ogie is desperately trying to avoid is that if Juan had honored his employment contract instead of breaking it half a dozen times then he'd still have a job. It's an open and shut case.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Admitting discomfort around traditionally-dressed Muslims is a breach of ethical standards?

I just had this same conversation with some dip**** over at CFC. Perhaps you can tell me which provision of his contract/ethical lapse that Juan Williams supposedly committed that isn't also applicable to other NPR employees like Nina Totenberg as an example. Or does NPR just hate black people?Originally posted by Oerdin View PostYou're so full of crap it's splattering out of your posts.Last edited by DinoDoc; October 28, 2010, 17:36.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

I have always been coached that reasons for dismissal to the extent described by O should never be divulged. Thus O is woefully ill informed ( very likely) or the NPR management is clearly incompetent as they open themselves up to additional damages if found culpable in wrongful dismissal. (also likely) Having read the ethics policy, I can state that their policy ( IMO) is sufficiently vague as to be effectively unenforceable.Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostI just had this same conversation with some dip**** over at CFC. He contractually was obligated not to say inflammatory or offensive things in public, those were the standards, he agreed to them when he started working at NPR. I agree that this incident alone wouldn't have been enough to get him fired for breach of contract but it was simply the last straw after a long series of incidences or at least that's what Juan's old boss has said.Originally posted by Elok View PostAdmitting discomfort around traditionally-dressed Muslims is a breach of ethical standards?Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Another item that is curious is that given that NPR had warned Williams to stay on the ranch and that admittedly there was a presumably a disagreement between the two parties, why did NPR opt for the firing route rather than simply allowing his contact to expire. I seem to recall but may be mistaken that it was slated for expiration in Dec 2010. Either NPR is criminally stupid in opening themselves up to law suit or their motives were something other than simply getting rid of Williams, IOW an object lesson."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson

It's not that you can't find the words, it's that you lack the vocabulary and intelligence. The word "stupid" is about the only word you seem capable of regurgitating as you hurl the same petty, weak insult over and over. You're too stupid for words.
