I've never actually seen How I Met Your Mother, but as I understand it, the central conceit of the show is that it's all a story told by a guy to his kids about...how he met their mother, no? But that show's been on for several years now. Has he met their damned mother yet, and if not, why haven't the kids wandered off from boredom?Comment

Friends was a peculiarly crappy sitcom. You want a half-decent specimen, look at Seinfeld. Not perfect, but it definitely had its moments.Comment
