It's called "paternity leave" in the UK, as opposed to "maternity leave" the "breastfeeding leave" label makes the story sound more ridiculous than it is.
In the UK a mother can have a years "maternity leave" some of which is paid. But nowadays she can split that leave with the father, so you could take 6 months each, or 9 months and 3 months or whatever. It's quite rare, but we've got that right if we choose to take it.
