    Hello fellow gamers,

I just wanted to share with a project, made by gamers for gamers, that some of you might find interesting (espcially if you're bored ). Its name is Unik Gamer.

    The rule is simple:
Every one shares his Top 25 favorite games of all time. Each game you choose earn points (1st=25pts, 2nd=24ps, ..., 25th=1pt).

Every 30 minutes a huuuuge list, with more than a 1000 games ranked, is updated compiling everybody's lists.

The project is still new and more than 350 gamers already took part in it, even some (obscure?) developers.

Some other lists are also available like:
    - Top most anticipated games
    - Tops by system (like Top PS2 games)
    - Tops by genre (like Top FPS games)
    - Tops by year (like Top games of 2009)
    - Tops by decade (like Top games of the '90 or '00s)

Each gamer can participate to the tops that he or she may find interesting.

Here is the current all time Top 15 (with 386 gamers) that might be DIFFERENT tomorrow when some of you join the project:

    # 01 - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
    # 02 - Chrono Trigger
    # 03 - Final Fantasy VII
    # 04 - Half-Life 2
    # 05 - Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
    # 06 - Final Fantasy VI
    # 07 - Pokemon Gold and Silver
    # 08 - Resident Evil 4
    # 09 - Fallout 3
    # 10 - Final Fantasy X
    # 11 - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
    # 12 - Super Mario World
    # 13 - Shadow of the Colossus
    # 14 - Super Smash Bros. Melee
    # 15 - Final Fantasy IX

    Here is the full list:

Every gaming top lists we come across the Internet or magazines are made by just a few people. This time every gamer gets to be involved by sharing his Top 25.
Try it if you guys have a minute and let me know what you think.

Well, Pokemon does have replay value.

        Not really....

Almost all of the strategy in that game is in the metagame, which admittedly is rather deep strategy, but that's offset by how ****ING ANNOYING it is to put together a decent team.

Hidden stats (IVs and stuff) are by far the most obnoxious part. There's a controllable strategic element that is relevant to whether you win or lose but it is impossible to find out what it is or how to affect it without a gameshark.

Yeah, I bet it is pretty annoying for people who take it too seriously.

            Good point.

But oh god, you did not just accuse me of that.

There's a pokemon club at my school (yes I know, wtf) and at one point my friend convinced me to go to a meeting or two and I was bombarded with more information about pokemon THAN I EVER WANTED TO KNOW and it just convinced me what an awful game it was.

Actually, as a Dad and Grandfather, I do.

I have 5 grandchildren, so love to see them enjoy their gaming experience. Mrs Troll and I kinda let them share what they want and as long as their parents give the ok, we provide at an appropriate time, birthday or Christmas.

Our two oldest grandsons love Halo series, Star Wars series and the Lego version of many popular games.

They play both XBOX 360 and PS2 versions.

Just to sgare why it is important to at least me why kids views are important

Wow. The only game on there that I have played is Fallout 3 and I haven't even heard of most of them.

I suspect this forum would have vastly different tastes as it's for a PC game and a strategy game at that.

I'm not going to give this much thought but some real top games for you know... non-children...

                    System Shock 2
                    Age of Empires II
                    Thief: The Dark Project
                    Starcraft
                    Diablo
                    Rainbow Six

I'm pretty sure System Shock and Thief would **** on any of those other games on that list.

Thief II is far superior to Thief I.

Never played it beyond the demo. I have Thief I and 3 only.
