The high end Dells actually have far better screens. They use RGB LED backlighting instead of the simple white LED backlighting on the Macbook/MBP screens. Far higher colour gamut.

ADDENDUM: I can pay the $400, the problem really is that I have no idea why it costs $400. Is there a way to use heat or suction to correct this problem without taking it to a mechanic, who would just drop the computer again and claim I sent it in that way? Also, mechanics are noxious and CVS Self Checkouts speak better English than they do.

Does anyone know when the new Macbook Pros are coming out? I want a Bluray drive like I want a bigger penis. Interpret it as you will but it means I don't need either.
