I have come to this conclusion at last after experiencing how much it sucks. I won't even talk about how much it sucks to code with it, I'll just talk about how much it sucks to use. So, I have been having trouble getting Java to work in a multitude of browsers. For some reason, no matter how many types of java I installed it just wouldn't work. No matter what I did I couldn't get the browsers to realize that Java was in fact installed on my computer.
So, what did I do? I uninstalled it! Except there was one problem, it started giving me dll errors when I tried to uninstall it. No amount of programs or fixes would work. I finally gave in and just went through the entire ****ing registry deleting everything java. Yes, this had unintended consequences which I will go into later. I couldn't help it though, I was in a rage.
Unfortunately, this didn't work either because now I started getting all kinds of errors when trying to install java. Everything from the installation being interrupted to corrupted installation packages to phantom installations that must be removed first in order to install java again. Yet again I was left in despair. So I kept on trying to install it hoping that somehow it would work at some point.
Oddly enough, it did finally work! I got java installed! Not only did I get it installed but it now works in the browser. I don't really know why it works in the browser to be honest. I'm not even sure why it finally installed. The browsers don't show anything installed, but for some reason they recognize it being there when I go to load an application. The only problem is that now Java doesn't work on my machine PERIOD. I can't even uninstall it now because it's telling me the ****ing files are corrupt and I can't install over it or reinstall it because I'm getting error messages everywhere. None of the programs that were java based that I had been using work anymore.
Not only that, but I can't uninstall those programs either because I'm getting JVM errors! So I've decided to just stop using Java period. Java sucks. I hope whoever made it is already dead. Somehow I feel like I'm giving the finger to the Sun bigwigs. Yes, I can't remove their programs, and yes nothing Java works on my computer anymore. But **** YOU I GOT IT TO WORK IN MY BROWSER *****ES! LOL @ THAT ****!! WHO'S THE MAN NOW?
