  • Many conflicting emotions after watching this video...

So some poor schmuck takes one of the absolute greatest rock and roll songs of all time, adds two Kermits, and somehow makes me want to simultaneously laugh and blow my brains out.

What conflicting emotions? This is 100% blow-your-brains-out material. The only remotely positive emotion I get out of it is relief that I was never dumb enough to produce mouths to feed lik this poor sap did. hew: But then that just reminds me how ****ed he is again.
    Unbelievable!

While "Under Pressure" is great, it's hardly "rock and roll."

Also time for that guy to immigrate to some other country for a better life, as he seems quite capable to work.

Incorrect, Dra... er... Tupac. Queen + David Bowie = definition of rock of roll.

No. The Rolling Stones + The Who = the definition of rock and roll. Queen + David Bowie = the definition of fruity guys who kinda sorta played something resembling rock and roll when they weren't dabbling in opera or electronica.

Don't **** with me on this. I'm a musical genius, lyrical wordsmith, voice of a generation, etc.

On the one hand, that's fantastic. On the other hand, if he can't figure out how to monetize a talent like that, I have a hard time sympathizing.

                Don't confuse yourself with Kanye.

There are many kinds of rock. Queen & Bowie represented two of the defining subgenres of 70s rock, arena and glam. Their fusion is ****ing amazing.

Yes, and "rock and roll" generally refers to the black, Chuck Berry-esque form that the Stones were heavily influenced by. Terms like "arena rock" and "glam rock" were invented precisely to differentiate between straight up rock and roll and the whiter sub-genres that developed over time.

                          the genre doesnt matter

As a musician, I care very much about genre definitions; being careless with them is how I end up getting lumped in as "hip-hop" with bustas like Kanye West and the Black Eyed Peas. I'm ****ing sick of that...

I am a serious musician (genius, lyrical wordsmith, voice of a generation, etc.) and I'm telling you that you're full of ****. Genre definitions are very important.
