  • How can I get people to read my blog?

    Hello,

I've been a reader of this forum for a while but never posted until now. I have refrained because it is my opinion that we have far too many writers and not enough readers on the internet. However, I recently started a political blog. I hate to contribute to the glut of information on the interent, but since I can't find anyone with very similar political views I think it's my duty to express my own. So my first post here is to ask the question of how I can spread the word about my blog. I am very interested in finding people with like-minded opinions and would love to get a readership going (of both allies and enemies) but am unsure of how to make it so that people can find it. The internet has countless blogs and websites, so how can I advertise my own? I made it so that search engines can find it but I don't know of any other way to find readers. I've been told to link my blog to others but I'm having a hard time finding anyone with similar enough opinions, although perhaps I am being too selective (I don't see the point in associating it with people I disagree with). Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions, or would like to read it, please let me know. Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure that the world needs another foaming-at-the-mouth right-wing blog, but the question you really need to ask yourself is "Is yet another cookie-cutter rant actually of interest to anyone?".

Tits. Felch and Thoth are wise men. CH usually is, too, but he kind of missed the bus on this one. Though if you're not going to have tits, not blogging at all probably is the next best option.

So you're one more of the "too many"? Great.

Wow did anyone besides Cort Haus actually skim through this guy's blog? He's just regurgitating (pseudo) right wing commentator talking points* curtis290, don't bother if you're going to just repeat the same old mantra.

I am a little puzzled as to why he comes here to advertise for his blog. Is this some new spammy tactic or is he a DL of one of our regular posters?

He's actually worse the more I think about it... he goes well beyond the Limbaughs of the world...

He's very jingoistic though... he sees Islam as a fanatical religion opposed to Christian American family values (which I always found funny because aside from differences in how you pray, you'd think conservative Islam would be very appealing to the family values crowd)... he also thinks that Liberalism (capitalism and democracy) are incompatible with Christianity and that they have made America a weak nation of white-collar workers who are not like the rough and tumble pioneers who were ready for anything and had a warrior ethos... capitalism has also eroded Christian values...

yeah he's beyond even the most notorious right-wing commentator. He's actually left-wing... more like a Christian Socialist or something. Like the old Populists we had in America in the late 19th and early 20th century that were all about getting off the gold standard, dismantling the national bank, prohibition, and getting evolution out of schools.

Yeah not a very winning platform, was that?

His blog should be called New American Left if anything.

This is the most important reason we need a big state with socially just economic policies: it is out of necessity. If the working class is not appeased, it will turn to socialism, the greatest evil mankind has ever known. The liberal state is entirely unable to stop the rise of socialism; something more heavy-handed is only able to achieve that task.
We need a new system, one that gets things done without political bickering and the deadlock of competing interest groups. It will have more a more sensible, sustainable economic vision with stability and order as its primary goals. Everyone that wants a job will get one, and the state will take care of its hard-working citizens and ensure that whatever economic costs its projects incur will not be unfairly born by those who cannot afford to. With fewer numbers that will have to resort to crime to survive and fewer who decide they want a revolution, combined with a stronger, less restrained police force, order will be restored.

This is really just a jew-baiting away from National Socialism.

Personally I take great comfort from the fact that America is in decline Besides, isn't it a little arrogant to take the name of the whole continent and think this won't piss of any of the other countries on it?

Says the European. Your lot has been in decline since you ravaged each other during the war and had to get billions of dollars in aid from the US which none of you have yet to pay back... and you still owe us from the first war!

Only Finland paid back the US loans from the First World War. Only country to do so.

Britain paid off the war (II) debt a few years ago. Get with the programme.

Interestingly, on WWI debt, Britain was owed more in loans than it owed.
