I promise to spend at least 15 minutes crafting an opinion (assuming the topic is at least moderately interesting). The response will be either my actual opinion, or interesting/contrarian or both. It will be supported by some kind of previous work on the subject (or at least tangentially related to it) and will pass at least a first glance for self-consistency.

This is to satisfy those who think that Poly suffers from a lack of srs debate.

It was a useful exercise. I haven't had a chance to organize my thinking on a number of topical discussions. This is one of the outstanding subjects (the major one, actually).

I think my own conclusions just got a little clearer to me.
