I heard that Civ5 will move away from the socialism seen in Civ4, allowing players to actually build leads and rise above the masses based on their skill level. I find this hard to believe, but has the Berlin wall in fact been torn down? Does it really play more like a game rather than an experiment in online gaming socialism?
