  • Papal Visit to the UK

I'm so looking forward to the Pope visiting the UK because, right now, it is looking like it is going to be a massive humiliation for the Catholic Church...

Pope's visit: aide steps aside after comparing Britain to 'third world'

Don't these paedo douches realise that the biggest argument for atheism anywhere in the world is the existence of the Catholic Church and the scum that runs it?

Welcome to the UK (but not Wales!), Mr Hitler Youth Paedo Apologist! I hope you fall flat on your face - literally and metaphorically...

I hope the paedophile protecting, sexist, homophobic, AIDS liar gets the reaction he deserves.

Tough time for British Catholics, many of home are pretty sensible moderates.

Here's a nice guide to his visit to the UK: The pope's visit: your essential guide

      The, ahem, controversies

The pope is as catholic in his prejudices as he is in his faith. Never a shrinking violet even before he was elected to the papacy in 2005, he has managed to insult just about every one. He's pissed off Jewish people by considering Pius XII, the wartime pope who refused to condemn the Nazis, as a candidate for beatification; he's said the prophet Muhammad had brought the world "things only evil and inhuman"; and he doesn't even really consider Protestantism a proper religion. Then there's homosexuality, women's rights and Aids – Benedict's not at all keen on the first two, and promotes the latter with his opposition to the use of condoms. And though he doesn't really approve of paedophilia, he's been accused of covering up crimes committed by Catholic priests. So there you have it: a serial equal opportunities offender. If he hasn't got round to anything you care about yet, just give him a bit more time.
Basically an all round nice guy!

In all cases, the contribution entitles pilgrims to a drawstring bag containing a Pilgrim Passport, Commemorative CD and a How To Keep In Touch postcard
        Pope-on-a-rope, anyone?

        Oh, they mentioned it already...

One of the pope's top advisers on his visit to England and Scotland has dropped out of his entourage following the publication of an interview in which he said that arriving in Britain "you sometimes think you've landed in a third world country".

          this is actually true... :shrugs:

Assassinating the Pope would help put Britain back on the map.

So finally the nazis managed to pull a Sealion. Took them quite some time, but it's difficult to mount an invasion from the moon.

The UK is a third world country because there are so many atheists?

Let us look at the top 10 countries by percentage of Catholic residents:

                          1. Vatican City - 100% (you'd hope)
                          2. East Timor - 98%
                          3. Malta - 98%
                          4. Ecuador - 95%
                          5. Bolivia - 95%
                          6. Venezuela - 95%
                          7. Dominican Republic - 95%
                          8. Martinique - 95%
                          9. San Marino - 95%
                          10. Spain - 94%

                          All G10 regulars, I'm sure you'd agree.

So how many superpowers are there today? If you guess any higher than one you may need to reconsider.
