I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

It was both. He even asked me to remove those quote once over paranoia about Bush. I told him to go screw himself.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Nah, the worst we've managed lately was the Meibion Glyndŵr, who went around setting fire to English holiday homes - probably just a bunch of local builders try to drum up business for themselves...

Yeah, because you'd totally get stirring condemnation of the IRA during the Troubles if you went up to Boston and talked to a bunch of Irish-American Catholics.
You can kill five people and be a terrorist. You can kill 100,000 and be a war hero.

It just depends who wins the war, who writes the history books, and/or who owns the TV stations.

The death of one man is a tragedy. The deat of 10000, a statistic.

You can be listed as a terrorist organisation by the US govt in 1998, while being funded by Iran, but get NATO bombing your way to independence in 1999. If the IRA had friends like that ...

I'm an Irish-American Catholic, but I'm turned off by Sinn Fein's marxist ideology. Is there a libertarian Republican terrorist group that I can support?
                    John Brown did nothing wrong.

Well I checked out the Member Advocate Team section of that site, but all it lists for activities are:

Inviting like-minded friends, families, and colleagues to join us
Asking them to visit your personal Bush Presidential Center fundraising page
Participating in official e-mail campaigns to build a broader base of friends
Posting links on your social networking pages
Recruitment is all well and good, as is fundraising and propaganda, but I want to actually shoot redcoats. I've got my own rifle, it's a bolt-action 30-06, plenty powerful enough to defeat the ceramic plates and kevlar that today's modern redcoat wears into battle. Should I mention this in my email to the website, or would that be a breach of etiquette? I mean, you might not want HMSS to intercept our online communications. Is there some sort of code I should use, or a wink?

Here's what I'm thinking of sending. "Dear Mr. Bush, I am interested in supporting the Republican cause. I prefer direct action over fundraising and other ***** ****. I await further orders. May death come swiftly to your enemies. "
                            John Brown did nothing wrong.

I thought it quite surreal watching the news in my hotel room in Belfast yesterday about the fact that the threat factor of a new Republican bombing campaign has become extremely serious. That and seeing an RUC armoured car on the streets, is a reminder that all this could so easily blow up again. It's all rather sad really...

Belfast has come a long way since the Good Friday agreement and is a cool place to visit - it would be a pity to see that threatened...
