The problem with the cartoon isn't that it's tasteless. The problem is that the cartoon isn't funny. It's just stupid.

I don't mind being in agreement with Az but Thoth?

Regardless, it's stupid and not funny. What is so funny about it? The concept of him being a hipster? Or the final pane with him randomly sipping juice? It's all stupid if you ask me.

I was amused by the "three reichs and you're out" shirt, and the "eastside westside genocide" shirt.

Its not really that funny. Probably b/c its a bit too close to the mark wherein hipsters are intolerant, passive agressive weenies with condescending superiority complexes. In short a typical polytubbie.

Three reichs and you're out could be a humorous but really corny joke like if you said, you hear about how baseball has been a craze through Germany lately? They have a new rule, though. Three Reichs and you're out. That's more of a joke though and it's pretty bad.

Being on a t-shirt makes utterly no sense, however.

And I don't get eastside westside genocide. What does that mean? And where did you see that? Does that mean there's a bunch of these ****ty comics?

EDIT: I see. There are more

                  WHY?!

The Campaign Strategy comic is atrocious. God these are so bad.

A crucial thing to understand about humor is that explaining a joke makes it not funny.

Not true. Its funny in that it shows how much of loser the person is explaining it.

I don't think that's true. And I'm guessing you're usually the one who needs things explained, so how would you know?

What do you mean I'm usually the one who needs things explained? If the joke is incomprehensible, it's not funny.

I don't get the reference. Eastside Westside Genocide what does that mean? Cause it rhymes?

Googling I've found it's a reference to a song called Hatestomp by a band called Genocide SS. I'll take a listen...

EDIT: horrible music. Punk rock crap and judging from the pictures on the youtube song, probably a skinhead group. Thoth or Cockney or somebody would probably love it.
