So, due to abuse, the system is being changed so you can't tag other users blog posts or threads, only your own. Well done on getting new features turned off so quickly.

And whilst it takes you ages to tag every thread with some ben related abuse, it's one click for us to delete that tag from every thread. So your hard work can be undone very quickly.

It'd be a good thing for the site if those tags were actually useful, especially for the civ related stuff.

That said it's probably less effort to ban users than to have to go in every day and delete unwanted tags and we are lazy moderators.



I know some of you would rather see this site fail, so you can crow and gloat from the sidelines, but it's still depressing to watch.

I was in doubt about that whinging tag, but decided to remove it with the bunch. I wasn't very critical when deleting it.

Thanks especially for those who spent that much time to tag about 50 threads with Ben related stuff! It was very pleasant to see that I could get rid of it in 14 seconds
How much time did it take you to get the job done?

If it is that simple to remove the tags, eventually the spam tags will stop.

It won't be worth the effort.

By the way, there's a much faster means to prevent these tags from occurring. Ban ben and they'll all go away on their own!

I admit that it is tempting to ban people just because we don't like them.

Frankly, I didn't even know that we had tags.

Somebody (or some people) tagged a lot of threads with something like "ben solicits kiddie porn". As a result, if you viewed the tag cloud, it showed 70 tags all the same size except for a big, bold tag called 'ben solicits kiddie porn" as it was the most popular tag on the site.

I thought it was an informative feature, myself.

I don't think that's true. I can't think of anyone else who would really be worth chasing off the site, not even MOBIUS.

And hold on a second. Bullies? The dude is a flaming racist, sexist homophobe. And the people who call him out on his rampant dishonesty are bullies? Christ you're soft.
